Sinan Tuncay (b. 1986, Istanbul) is a lens-based multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker working between Istanbul and New York. He holds a BA in Visual Communication Design from Sabancı University and an MFA in Photography, Video, and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts. Tuncay has directed award-winning music videos for artists such as Sezen Aksu and Mabel Matiz, and his work has been recognized with a NYFA Fellowship in Photography (2016), the Leslie-Lohman Museum Artist Fellowship (2020), and roles such as panelist for the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship (2018). His work has been exhibited at United Photo Industries (NY), Musée de l’Elysée (Switzerland), Odunpazarı Museum of Modern Art, Sakıp Sabancı Museum, and Istanbul Museum of Modern Art, among others, and has been acquired by several institutional collections.

Sabancı Üniversitesi Görsel İletişim Tasarımı Bölümü’nden lisans, School of Visual Arts (New York) Fotoğraf, Video ve İlgili Medyalar Bölümü’nden yüksek lisans derecesine sahiptir. Sezen Aksu ve Mabel Matiz gibi sanatçılar için tasarlayıp yönettiği müzik videoları çeşitli ödüllere layık görüldü. New York Sanat Vakfı (NYFA) Fotoğraf Bursu’na (2016) ve Leslie-Lohman Müzesi Sanatçı Bursu’na (2020) değer görülmüş; NYSCA/NYFA Sanatçı Bursu’nun 2018 yılı Seçici Kurulu’nda yer almıştır. Çalışmaları; United Photo Industries (NY), Musée de l’Elysée (İsviçre), Odunpazarı Modern Müze, Sakıp Sabancı Müzesi ve İstanbul Modern gibi kurumlarda sergilenmiş, çeşitli kurumsal koleksiyonlara dâhil edilmiştir.
